Today’s project was made with my Sizzix eclips and 657578 Sizzix Framelits Butterfly Set.

I cut the  box and image panels using  a Sizzix eclips (657539 Albums, Boxes & Bags 2). I sponged the edges of the panels with Chocolate ink. I then stamped my butterfly body (657578 Sizzix Framelits Butterfly Set) with  Chocolate ink.  The wings were stamped in Bubblegum ink and then die cut and attached with foam tape.

JUSTRITE and Copics!

Hello Stampers!

Happy Monday!  Did you watch the Oscars last night?  Were you as disappointed as I was?  I've watched faithfully every year since I was a little girl, but I think last night may have been my last one.  The Muppets?  Billy Crystal's plastic face?  Even my beloved Cirque messed up their routine!  So sad...  At least there were the gowns!  Milla and Penelope get my votes

On to the topic of the day - Copics!  I'm sharing the three cards with you that I will be teaching at SGD on March 28 for my monthly Cards with Copics class.  Last week I had the ladies vote on stamps of their choice - and they voted on three beautiful sets:  JUSTRITE Stamps Butterfly Garden Set, Birdhouses Set, Backyard Birds Set.

This is my first time using the JUSTRITE stamps - and I really liked them!  The grooved handle that goes with them is sturdy and feels nice in your hand.  And I LOVE that they match the Spellbinders dies!  I was able to use my circles dies to create these cards.

I've added a few little accents:  Glaze pen, Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen, Gelly roll pen in Stardust, and some Goosebumps spray.

I hope to see you at the class if you're local!

Paper used is Authentique 6x6 Bundle in "Genuine" (this is a brand new paper - it just arrived last week and the girls are going WILD over it!  Very "on trend" with the washed blues and yellows and damask patterns.)
Copic colours used are:
E39, E37, E35, E33, E31
E17, E15, E13, E11
E09, E08, E07, E02
YG67, YG63, YG11
B37, B34, B32
BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10
V28, V25, V22, V20

Happy Stamping!

Have you seen the new Hero Arts-Sizzix Sets by Stephanie Barnard?

Happy Sunday!!!! I wanted to share a couple of cards that you can recreate with the Sizzix Framelits sets by Stephanie Barnard!

You can make the first card with the Sizzix Framelits & Stamps Butterflies. (please note that this sentiment is not included in the set). On this card, I also used this fabulous Enchanted Paper by Bo Bunny, available in the 6X6 size,  which is perfect for cards!!!   I also LOVE this Tropical Flourish Die that Sheila sent me in my Designer package and have used it over and over! I added a touch of Stickles  to give it a little Zing!

You can recreate this card with the Sizzix Framelits & Stamps Balloons & Cupcakes set by Stephanie Barnard. This fun set allows you to stamp and layer! You could even add some Balloons to your creation! (note: the sentiment is not included in this set, however there are fun sentiments in the set for your use!)

I stamped the top of the cupcake on this sweet paper by Authentique and added some Stickles for good measure

You can find some fun Baker's Twine here!

Both of these sets would be great for Scrapbooking as well!

Get yours soon!

Happy Stamping!

A simple but stunning 2 layer card

For today's card I used Bo Bunny's GORGEOUS Almanac paper from the Country Garden line as my card base. I think I may need to buy a basquillion sheets of this particular paper cause I can't get over how much I love it! I had originally planned to use another sheet from that line as my 2nd piece but then this cool blue wood grain piece from MME caught my eye. To create my butterfly cut outs I used Martha Stewart's punch all over the page butterfly punch. Not sure why I haven't use these punches before because they are brilliant! It was missing something so I added a sentiment and some bling and then decided to walk away to keep the simplicity of the card. Then I did something that is hard for me to do...I walked away and let it be. Then came back and added some stitching hee hee!!!!!

Today is an all day crop at the store. Favourite day of the month! I hope to make it out so I can hang with my crafting besties and keep them from their crafting with my constant chatter lol!!! If you come by today stop by and say hi!

Cheers- Andrea

More Bo Bunny...

Happy Friday! You have already heard how much fun we had with Bo Bunny, if you were there you know. I had to play and do my thing with the new stuff, I couldn't resist, LOL!

So I paired up some of the new Bo Bunny Ambrosia papers with a Designable from Marianne Designs, tulips dies from MD, sentiment from Just Rite and some stickles. I stamped the butterfly and cut it out.

This card makes me think of spring, hope you like it, thanks for looking, Anja

Bo Bunny is coming to SGD!

Tomorrow is a big day!!! BO BUNNY IS COMING TO SGD!!! O yeah, the party is on and the day is finally here!!

Since I was at the store this week a couple of times I know for sure, there is lots of new BO BUNNY products!!! I had to buy a few things, really, who can resist this, LOL!

So I sat down and drooled over my new goodies!! I had to make a card and do my own style, that is the great thing, we can all do what we like!

For this card I have used the BO BUNNY Ambrosia paper and stamps, a Just Rite sentiment, Pinky Nestabilities, cloud die from MFT, Martha Stewart branch punch, Cheery Lynn olive branches, Fiskars grass border punch, Shimmery Goosebumps and some paprika Stickles.

The little flower is made with a little flower punch, you cut out a few, layer and shape them and spray it with Goosebumps.

I am really looking forward to taking the card class tomorrow, hope to see you there, Anja

Wish You Were Here

Happy Thursday!

I used a combination of Just Rite JB-09840 Bird House and JB-09880 A Warm Hello for today's card.

I stamped a border and image from the Bird House set and a border & sentiment from A Warm Hello with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images and borders with Touch Twin markers and  trimmed them leaving a small border and assembled my card. I finished my card with a Seam Binding bow and twine.

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe it, BoBunny is going to be in the house in just a couple of days. YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait.
I got this idea from the BoBunny Blog. I used the Enchanted designer paper for my version of this layout.
Paper and a knitted doilies are the "new" in thing, I used them in my background. The large doily I had embossed with black embossing powder to get that shinny look.
I died my ribbon with Tim Holtz's Black Soot reinker. I misted my seam binding with water and placed in a zip lock bag, then added a couple of drops of the reinker. Then you remove from the bag when you get the colour you want. Dry with your heat gun. To keep in a bow shape I added the brad. Love this effect.

Thanks for looking. Hope to see you this weekend. Have a great day.

Valentine Smooches!

Hello Stampers!

Here are a couple of Valentine's Day cards I made with the Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions Clear Stamp Set! On this first one, I've also used a cute sentiment from the Chit Chat set.  (Paper Smooches make adorable and really unique sentiments - fabulous fonts).

What first led me to Paper Smooches stamps, was trying to find stamps to colour with my Copics that were not little people for a change.

What I've discovered that I love - is the ability to paper piece or colour the Paper Smooches stamps!

This second card also uses a sentiment from the Sugar Rush set.  I've masked off the cups to create a little scene - and I've coloured with my Copics.  I added some distress stickles to the tops of the drinks - and used a Copper Viva Decor Pearl Pen to add the little accents.

I hope you enjoy these cards - and that you'll try out the Paper Smooches stamps as well!

Happy Stamping!

Simple Stories makes pretty cards

A quick share of a card that I made using Simple Stories Generations paper

There is very little work to do, when you have all these fabulous coordinating papers and Cardstock Stickers to embellish your project. Sadly, I had to make a Sympathy card for a friend of my Father this week, but I like the elegant look that I achieved with this line of Designer Paper. I added a bit of sponging to the edges to soften them down. Stamps are from Impression Obsession, but you can find all kinds of nice stamps to substitute in Sheila's vast array of stamps!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Elegant Anja card

Happy Friday! I couldn't help myself, I call this an Anja card, lol! It is elegant, it has flowers and a touch of green and pink.
Love, love this die/emboss thing from Marianne Design, you can find it HERE.
So easy to use to make an elegant card, with just rolling it through your diecut machine once.
That is what I did, matted it on a piece of coral cardstock and went through my own collection of Spellbinders to cut out a tag from Fancy Tags 3 and a middle piece from Fleur des Lis motifs.
The sentiment is from Just Rite, birthday sentiments, and it is stamped on white, cut out with Nesties and matted with a slightly bigger one.
And then the roses, aren't they cute, so easy to make with this die from Cheery Lynn.
Around the roses are some dies from Marianne Design and branches from a punch from Martha Stewart.
At last I added some pearls with a Viva decor pearl pen.
Have a great weekend , I am gonna be at another basket ball tournament with one of our sons.
Till next time, Anja

Butterfly Button Jar

I keep my buttons in an assortment of jars by color. I started playing around today with one of my jars and I thought I'd show you what I came up with. Amazing what you can do with a little tissue, a strip of drawer liner and a pretty butterfly stamp.

I cut my flower parts (Sizzix Bigz 657116 3-D Wrapped Flower) with a from plain old white tissue (the kind you use with I cut four layers of each size and then colored them quickly with Touch Twin markers (YR24, Y35)

I assemble the flowers parts with Flower Soft glue.

Here is the finished flower.

I stamped and colored the butterfly (655889 Hero Arts/ Sizzix Framelits Butterflies 3) with Touch Twin markers and cut out with the matching Framelits Die. I added some Diamond Stickles for a little bling on the wings.

Have a great day!

Copic card class

Hello Stampers!

I'm back with some more Copic creations for you - for my February cards class.

I had an AWESOME class with six lovely ladies on Saturday morning making teapot cards with My Favorite Things stamps & dies.  As I mentioned to them - please share your suggestions for other classes!  I'm always open to ideas.  Next Saturday Kim P & I are teaming up to teach you some fabulous Tim Holtz techniques in a Valentine's Day card class.

These little cuties are from the Inky Impressions range of stamps - and I can tell you they are a JOY to colour!

I've stamped all three in brown Memento ink for a change from black.  You'll see that it gives a slightly softer look, which seemed to suit these little kiddies.

I've used a beautiful new line of paper, designed by London's own very talented crafter, Julia Stainton, for lilybee design.  There is a coordinating stamp set which I've used as well.

All my sentiments here are from the Paper Smooches line.  Check out these stamps - BRAND NEW to SGD - if you haven't already.  GORGEOUS sentiments in fabulous fonts - and super cute whimsical stamps.  I love them!!  Thanks to Sheila for agreeing to bring them in for us!!  I'll be teaching classes with these stamps in March for sure.

If you're into following trends in the paper crafting world, you'll note a few that I've used here:

  • clean and simple style
  • Kraft cardstock
  • Baker's twine
  • Faux stitching (I've used the brand new to SGD tool)
  • Banners
  • Music notes
  • Teal & brown colours
  • lace
  • doilies

Happy stamping!

I {HEART} Bo Bunny Paper

Wanted to share some cards that I made with two of the FABULOUS paper pads by BO Bunny!
Although Sheila doesn't carry these particular stamps, you can use similar stamps to create a card!

The first two cards use SMOOCHABLE by Bo Bunny

additionally, Sheila carries this fun Cloud Die from The Cats Pajamas and the Polar White Flower Soft that I used to make the clouds soft and fluffy!

More Prettiness with the Smoochable Pad!

This card uses the paper from  the Bo Bunny Enchanted 6x6 pad

and the inside!

I also used some Platinum Stickles for my sparkly rain drops!

I LOVE how the papers make it so easy to combine patterns for cards and the fact that the 6x6 pads have patterns that are scaled down perfectly for a smaller working area!

Happy Stamping!
